Event Details
The Fraser Walk for Autism at the Mall of America has always been a popular event for North Star Therapy Animals.
We have successfully volunteered with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and llamas in the past and our presence has been an important draw for Fraser Teams who walk the mall to raise money for the local autism community.
This year NSTA hopes to have even more species represented at the event! We’d love to have ALL of the following in attendence:
- Cats
- Dogs – SORRY NO SPOTS REMAIN
- Llamas
- Miniature Horses
- Therapy Rats
- Guinea Pigs
- Rabbits
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A REQUEST FOR MULTIPLE SPECIES If you think your animal may be reactive to other species, it is your responsibility, as the handler, to assure a successful visit for all our teams and more importantly those we are visiting. This might mean being overly prepared when arriving, during and when leaving, or deciding this might not be a good fit for your animal. Many therapy dog handlers can be distracted by everything going on so if you plan to come, please be prepared to watch your dog closely so there is no danger of an animal getting hurt.
- The time is from 7:15AM to 9:15AM
- The Mall is closed to all other shoppers at this time
- NSTA will be located near the escalators at the edge of the theme park
- Our teams will be ‘stationary’ and not be walking with the ‘walkers’
- There will be plenty of space to separate the llamas from other species
